San Sebastian Stroll

There are places you travel to that just makes you stop in wonder. This was my first time in San Sebastian in Basque Country, Spain – a stone’s throw from the border of France. Immediately, I was taken away when I saw San Sebastian as Z and I drove towards it coming from Oñati.

Growing up in a country dotted with pristine beaches, you’d understand why I wasn’t exactly impressed when Z told me about San Sebastian’s 3 in-city beaches (stress on the number 3). But strolling around, I was floored by its coastline, the mountains that surround it, old-world charm of the architectures, oh and the food! San Sebastian just happens to have more Michelin star awarded restaurants compared to any other city. More about San Sebastian in my post next week for Travel Thursdays. But truly, I was continents away but I felt at home in this small resort town.

Other than the cold weather that made it suicidal to take a leisurely swim here at Ondarreta beach, this was one beautiful cool autumn day in San Sebastian, perfect to take in the sights in a leather jacket and bright dress combo with a vintage YSL from Mom to boot. 🙂
